Job Description
- Liaise with internal personnel on the application of KYC/KYB policy.
- Maintaining knowledge of appropriate laws and regulations with a view to review / challenge internal teams where required.
- Coordinate with internal teams to internal teams to obtain client/user KYC/KYB and other compliance information and documentation.
- Liaise with internal teams to ascertain information on the purpose of client accounts, transaction volumes etc.
- Review incoming documents for clients according to market standard KYC/KYB /Anti-Money Laundering Program (AML) policies
- Retain records of all information relied upon to complete KYC/KYB
- Perform basic, additional and enhanced due diligence KYC/KYB reviews for new and existing customers
- Review and evaluate recent negative news related to clients.
- Ensure the company has a clear understanding of the clients KYC/KYB risks
- Understanding of how risk factors impact client risk rating.
- Understanding on how sanctions, ABC, terrorist financing impact the risk profile of the client
- Act as a subject matter expert in the execution and implementation of KYC/KYB rules and policies
- Understanding of how a fintech works.
- Provide general supervision and management of the day-to-day compliance and auditing affairs of the company within the applicable guidelines.
- Policies and Procedures Manual approved by the Board, consistent with decisions requiring prior to approval of the Board.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, integrity and appropriate disclosure of the company policies and procedures and internal controls.
- Carry out any other appropriate duties and responsibilities assigned by the Board.
